Fertility
Individual Diagnostics and Treatment for Fertility
In my practice for gynaecology, obstetrics, gynaecological endocrinology and reproductive medicine, I provide individual support for patients with a desire to conceive.
Depending on the initial situation, further diagnostics or targeted treatment may be helpful in improving the conditions for a successful pregnancy.
Fertility Diagnostics
In cases of recurrent miscarriages, repeated implantation failure after IVF/ICSI or unfulfilled desire to conceive, a more detailed examination of the uterine lining may be useful.
A small tissue sample is taken from the uterus and examined in a specialised laboratory.
What is being examined?
Uterine NK cells (natural killer cells)
Immune cells of the uterine lining that are involved in the regulation of implantation and early pregnancy.
Plasma cells (CD138)
An increased presence may indicate chronic inflammation of the uterine lining (chronic endometritis).
Procedure of the examination
- short outpatient examination in the practice
- collection of a small tissue sample from the uterus
- takes only a few minutes
- ideally in the second half of the cycle
- examination of the sample in a specialised laboratory
The findings are usually available after a few days and will then be discussed with you in detail.
Diagnostic costs
This examination is offered as an individual health service (IGeL).
- Collection of the tissue sample: approx. €100
- Laboratory costs (immunohistological examination): approx. €300
Total costs: approximately €400
(Private medical service according to GOÄ – no reimbursement by statutory health
insurance possible)
Possible Treatment Options Depending on the Findings
Depending on the findings, different treatment approaches may be considered, for example:
- antibiotic therapy in the case of chronic endometritis
- immunomodulatory treatment approaches, e.g. lipid infusions, in certain immunological abnormalities
- individually tailored further fertility treatment
Which diagnostics or treatment make sense will be decided individually during the medical consultation.
PRP Treatment for Fertility
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a component of the blood containing a high concentration of platelets and growth factors. These promote tissue regeneration and can stimulate cellular functions, especially in the area of the uterine lining.
What is PRP treatment suitable for?
PRP therapy may be useful in the following cases:
- infertility of unclear cause
- repeated implantation failure in IVF/ICSI
- thin endometrium that does not build up sufficiently
- chronic endometritis
PRP Treatment for the Endometrium – New Hope for Fertility
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is used as a regenerative therapy to support the uterine lining (endometrium) in fertility treatment.
How does PRP treatment work?
PRP is obtained from your own blood. After special preparation, the platelet-rich plasma is introduced directly into the uterus. The growth factors it contains promote regeneration and blood flow of the uterine lining and thus improve the conditions for embryo implantation – without any foreign additives or hormones.
Procedure of PRP treatment
- blood sample taken in the practice
- preparation of the PRP using a special procedure
- application of the PRP directly into the uterine cavity (intrauterine)
- the treatment is minimally painful and takes only a few minutes
Cost of PRP treatment
Total costs: €250 per treatment
(Private medical service according to GOÄ – no reimbursement by statutory health
insurance possible)
Please note: PRP treatment is currently not covered by statutory health insurance and is billed as an individual health service (IGeL).
Scientifically based – individually guided
In our practice, PRP therapy is tailored individually and carried out in close coordination with your treatment plan – especially in the context of IVF/ICSI or known implantation disorders.
